What is a Power Pack?

KinderTown is launching a brand new product called Power Packs.

We’ve got some exciting news to share, and you’re part of it! KinderTown is re-launching a product called Power Packs.

Each pack is aligned to the KinderTown Learning Map and is designed to support parents in connecting the learning that happens on the iPad with educational experiences for the home. In addition, in each pack we also recommend websites and resources where parents can find more information. Our mission at KinderTown has always been to help parents be their child’s best teacher by providing them with tools to succeed. Power Packs are one more step in that direction.

Developmental Duffle

Developmental Duffle is a great way to engage your preschooler at home with play while developing learning skills.

Developmental Duffle is a great way to engage your preschooler at home with play while developing learning skills.

I first saw the bright orange duffles from Developmental Duffle at an education convention. The booth was laid out with bright orange bags and inviting educational toys grouped by age and developmental skills. I loved how each educational product included a developmental card that guides parents and educators through how to best interact with your child and facilitate learning with the product.

I enjoyed the product so much that the creators sent along a sample for me to test out with my children. My kids were so excited when it arrived, and so was I! The orange bag is a great way to keep the toys and products separate from the other toys in your house.

Developmental Duffle features educational products for children ages birth to 4 and they have the best line of curated educational products I have seen recently. It shows that they have put lots of time and effort into finding the best products for children to play and grow with. The bundles are put together by school psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, early childhood experts, and most importantly, mothers! What a great team. It’s easy to put your confidence in the products when you know the expertise behind them.

Here’s a Taste of Developmental Duffle’s Products

Counting Elephants

Developmental Duffle is a great way to engage your preschooler at home with play while developing learning skills.

These elephants are simple, yet a fun toy to introduce your child to counting and later, adding. The elephants are large enough for small hands to manipulate easily and stand up well on the floor or table. The Activity cards suggest pretending the elephants are in a parade while talking about numbers and colors. Several other ideas are presented as well. A great way to learn about numbers, colors and counting. I wish there was a follow up set or other way to include the numbers 11-20 when children are ready to count beyond 10.

Monster Catch

These were a big hit with my 3-year-old. I love how the mitts made her hands even larger to facilitate her developing motor skills to catch the ball. We took these to the beach and the park, and played with them in the living room. I like the suggestions on the Activity cards for when your child gets bored with the traditional play.

4 in 1 Magic Activity Case

This case has a lot of great features. It comes with a white board, magnetic letters, a chalkboard and a whiteboard.

This case has a lot of great features. It comes with a white board, magnetic letters, a chalkboard and a whiteboard. Note that the letter tiles are capital letters, and I prefer lowercase letters for beginning readers, since the majority of text is written in lowercase. However, there are tons of valuable ways to use this Activity Case. Practice drawing, beginning writing, or drawing lines on each of the surfaces. The Developmental Duffle Activity cards suggest that the parent pick something in the room to describe and have your child draw and guess the object. A wonderful way to play with your child.

he real gem of Developmental Duffle is the expertise put behind finding the most valuable products for children to engage in learning, and the Developmental Duffle cards to facilitate parent-child engagement with the earliest learners. These would make a great gift for a new mom, grandchild, or birthday party. Check them out!
