Math Learning Apps for Kids

Check out these fun, memorable math apps for your children today!

Bedtime Math

Bedtime Math is the mobile version of our favorite nightly math routine website. Download this free app and start a new routine of playing number games before bed. Problems are organized for 4 levels: “wee ones” “little kids” “big kids” and “the sky’s the limit” so you’ll find a large range of difficulty in the app. The problems are brain teasers that are great to use as mental math, with paper and pencil or using toys from around the house to act out the problems. A wonderful app to keep on your phone to use anytime of the day!

Ladybug Number Count

Ladybug Number Count is a relaxed app for counting and number recognition from 1 to 10. The app sets slow moving ladybugs into pictures of everyday places like the beach, playground and mountain for kids to count and identify quantity. You won’t find an endless amount of scenes, so be prepared to see the backgrounds repeat frequently. Kids start by choosing from three languages: English, French and Spanish. Then choose to count the ladybugs by tapping one at a time or count by themselves and touch the correct number from a choice of three. We love that kids hear language like, more and less each time they get an answer wrong. A good counting app for the low price.

Dinosaur Train Classic in the Jurassic, Jr.!

Dinosaur Train Classic in the Jurassic, Jr.! gives your kids three measurement activities that are each educational and fun. Games include measuring the distance needed to build a bridge, measuring out dinosaur food on a scale and ordering dinos by height. The activities are a fun way to practice measurement but they don’t really progress in difficulty which makes this app have a shorter lifespan. There is a nice sticker reward area where kids can interact with the stickers they earn playing the games.
