Artgig Studio has just released a “try before you buy” version of Marble Math!
The app offers all the great gameplay of Marble Math and Marble Math Junior with the flexibility to customize times tables for specific practice. The Marble Math apps are perfect for the home or classroom. Now you can try out the app with a free version. Like most lite apps, you’ll find links and places in the app highlighting the full version.
All the Tribal Nova apps have gone “FREE” with in-app purchase
This very popular model gives parents and teachers the opportunity to try one of the games for free without having to pay. If you like the game (and we are pretty sure you will) the other two are unlocked with an in-app purchase. Each of the Tribal Nova apps are thoughtfully designed with both play and learning in mind. We are very excited that now more people can try this series of educational app for kids.

Beck and Bo delights young children with a dynamic free play environment that always has a new surprise popping up. There is no pressure to complete each thematic area in a specific way, which is something we appreciate about the app. Enter to find 12 thematic scenes. Objects or questions are presented in each scene, one at a time, for kids to experience thematic vocabulary. As kids finish each scene they can then continue to play in the area or view each object in their own scrapbook. A fantastic app for playful discovery that understands how young children learn.

Crabby Writer blends handwriting and phonics for a delightful educational experience. Work through levels of words, including common three and four letter words to unlock sandcastles for free play fun. Each word is presented letter by letter, sound by sound for kids to trace. The entire app is supported with sound elements to help kids to make strong phonics connections. Using the two finger technique of pinching, kids work through standard formation sequence while following seashells and brightly colored ocean objects. The app thoughtfully includes clearly articulated letter sounds repeated while kids are tracing. Start at the “Parents/Teachers” where you get a thorough look at the app and tips for helping your child while using Crabby Writer.

When I Grow Up… encourages kids to think about what they want to be when they grow up while being exposed to multiple languages and increasingly challenging language play. The app features 16 varied careers across 5 levels. The app starts by exposing children to the careers and words with flip pages and progresses kids through to learning short sentences about each career. You might need to help your little one with the spelling of “scientist” and “politician” but we love children being given the opportunity to learn these spellings and to hear each word in any of 6 languages. The app is completely child safe and there are great features for parents and teachers.

Wubbzy’s Train Adventures shares a great tale about perseverance and ingenuity for our youngest readers. Join the band of friends as they run into all kinds of problems while on the train to the carnival. Use the app as a book with no hotspots, or with full interactivity while the story is read aloud or with just word support. In the app you’ll find games, videos and coloring pages that support the text. At the end you’ll find questions to use with your child to talk and think about the story. There are links unlocked in the app and we encountered a “please rate” popup. Overall, a well design app with tons of features and a nice story to read alongside your young child.
Preview of two new apps coming to the app store this week!
Each app has already been selected for KinderTown.

Wince-Don’t Feed the WorryBug is an adorable character with a problem. Wince worries A LOT. So much that he attracts a worry bug who just loves to feed on all those worries. Join Wince as he helps us all learn how to deal with worrying. This eBook is a great addition to your social emotional apps. There are little features tucked into the story, like a recording feature to share your worries and images that pop on the screen to add to your child’s understanding of this abstract concept. Overall, a thoughtful app that presents a well loved traditional book to help children make sense of an important emotional concept.
