Intro to Words is a beautiful environment for phonics development. Children strengthen language abilities wIth Intro to Words’ clearly articulated letter sounds and slow “sounding out” of interesting sticker-style images. Two types of activities are included in this app. The movable alphabet activity has your child choosing an object and then pulling down the sounds they hear with assistance in the app. The second activity has your child creating their own short stories by pulling down letters from a movable alphabet and adding pictures from a scrolling bar with many choices. This app integrates a full alphabet, plus vowel combinations and consonant blends which is an important learning feature, but may be confusing for children who are still learning the basic alphabet.
